Three of our 8th graders win essay contest on "The Importance of Religious Freedom"

National History Bee
The National History Bee is an exciting social studies competition for students who love learning, competing, and having fun! Participating students can progress from the local school level, to the Florida Regionals, and finally to the National Finals in Chicago where one student is crowned the National History Bee Champion!

Congratulations to our students who placed within the TOP 8 of their divisions at the Regionals competition in Pembroke Pines on February 23rd:

6th grade – Winston Fairchild
7th grade – Christopher Lade
8th grade – Carter Baxmann and Quentin Fairchild

These students now qualify to represent St. Francis Xavier School at the 2016 National History Bee in Chicago, "the Windy City", this summer along with other qualifying students from across the nation! We are so proud of these students and their outstanding work, and we thank our National History Bee sponsor teacher, Mrs. Virna Mandarino, for her encouragement and support!
