DESCRIPTION:August 7th (Monday) Middle School Open House \nMS Families will go through their child’s daily schedule and visit each class for a twenty-minute session. \nWe will open our doors at 8:30 am where you can pick up your child’s schedule\, a map of campus\, and make your way to their first period class. \nThe first period presentation will begin at 9:00 am and the last period presentation will conclude at 12:15 pm. \nEach subject will have a twenty-minute session followed by a five-minute period to change classes. \nThe daily schedule will include a technology session and specials and extra-curricular activity session. \nAny family who is unable to attend the Open House\, or a portion of it\, may visit their child’s classes from 1:15-3:00 pm that afternoon. \nAugust 7th (Monday) New Middle School Family Technology Orientation \nThe session will be from 1:15-2:30 pm. \nNew Middle School families are encouraged to attend this orientation. \nFamilies will be introduced to CANVAS and receive instructions how to use this tool to observe your child’s coursework\, assignments\, calendar\, and grades. \nFamilies will also receive instructions on how to use our digital safety product Securly. This application allows us to filter and monitor content on your child’s iPad and allows you\, the parent to monitor and observe your child’s activity as well. \nThis session will also give you a general overview of educational technology that we use at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School.

SUMMARY:CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
DESCRIPTION:Dear Parents\,\nYour children have been working hard to prepare for the upcoming Christmas program which begins at 6:00 Thursday\, December 14th. \nThe Christmas program will be held in the Father Thomas Anglim Gymnasium. Students in PreK-4 through 3rd grades\, the school chorus (2nd through 8th grades)\, and the school band will be performing for you. Additionally\, some of our middle school students will be helping with sound\, lights\, backstage. \nDress guidelines for the student performers are as follows: All children should dress in their Christmas best! Girls should wear closed toed shoes as they will be standing on the risers. Also\, heels are discouraged as we have placed students in positions according to height so everyone can be seen. \nI look forward to seeing you all Thursday December 14th Doors to the gym open at 5:30 pm. Please plan on staying for the entire program (approximately 90 minutes). Children will have a chance to enjoy their fellow classmates and show respect as audience members. Please meet your child at the conclusion of the program in the designated location by their teacher. \n\nPreK-4 through Grade 3 – Please meet your teachers at the time and place they have\ncommunicated to you.\nChorus & Band Members Please arrive at 5:30 p.m. Chorus – Sit in the upper seating\narea.\nBand – Take out instrument\, leave cases in the lobby concession area\, and meet Mr.\nJodice at front of stage.\nStage and Technical Crew.
