St. Francis Xavier Catholic School strives to provide a Catholic education to all who apply. We are blessed to have many layers of financial assistance for our families.
The State of Florida offers scholarships including the McKay Scholarship and Florida Tax Credit Scholarships. For information on qualifications for the McKay Scholarship for Students with Disabilities visit https://www.fldoe.org/schools/school-choice/k-12-scholarship-programs/mckay. Tax credit scholarship programs are AAA Scholarships (www.aaascholarships.org) and Step Up for Students (www.stepupforstudents.org). Additionally, our partner parishes throughout Lee County can financially assist their church families, and assistance is available from the school as well. Apply for parish or school tuition assistance through FACTS Grant & Aid (www.online.factsmgmt.com)
School hours are 8 am – 3 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and 8 am – 2 pm on Wednesday. The school is open for students to enter at 7:30 am. Students can enter their homeroom at 7:40 am and the day begins at 8 am.
We do not offer before school Care. We offer after school care every day that school is in session from dismissal until 6 pm. Nominal fees apply.
To enter our three-year-old program students must be three on or before September 1st of the enrollment year. preK-4 students must be four on or before September 1st of the enrollment year and kindergarten students must be five on or before September 1st of the enrollment year.
We welcome students regardless of their religious affiliation. While we do infuse our Catholic Faith into all areas of learning, a child is never ostracized for not being Catholic.
Lunches are provided by SLA Management with hot and cold lunch choices daily. A monthly menu is available on our website.
We do not participate in the Free or Reduced Lunch program.
We have a resource teacher available for students with learning disabilities. We work with individual families for more detailed information about requirements for this program.
We offer leveled classes in math and language arts for our middle school students. Students in grades four and five are split into two math groups, one that works at an accelerated pace. Our resource teacher also offers enrichment programs for our advanced students.
We meet or exceed all standards set forth by the State of Florida, not Common Core. Our accrediting body is the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA). Our campus is fully enclosed with an 8’ tall aluminum slatted fence. All entrance doors and classroom doors remain locked during the school day. Admittance is only granted through the front office, by way of a doorbell system. All visitors are screened by using their valid photo I.D. with our Raptor check-in system. We practice emergency drills with our students so they are prepared in the event of an actual emergency.
