Staying Ahead of the Curve

As educators, it has been our duty to provide students a place to learn where they feel comfortable, safe, and accepted. St. Francis Xavier was built as an open-air campus with state-of-the-art learning commons, a newly updated courtyard, a peaceful prayer garden, 21st century classrooms, and a highly secure building for primary grades.

Our school has come a long way since its inception in 1938. Its growth from the four original founders and educators—The Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, New York—and 68 students to a staff of 65 and 580+ students, has been truly exceptional. Over the years, we have expanded classrooms, buildings, and learning centers to accommodate our ever-growing enrollment numbers.

We would like to invite you to explore our campus and the extensive list of amenities we offer. Students should enjoy going to school every day, and we have strived to make that a reality. Our school’s history has stretched many decades, but we have continuously stayed ahead of the academic curve.

Learning Commons

Our Learning Commons is a technology-rich, flexible learning space that encourages collaboration among students. It is designed to allow individual work, but also motivates students to work together on group or classroom projects. Here, students can find our full video-production studio and an impressive supply of iMacs for student groups. Our classroom set of iPads make it easier for the younger students to plug into the latest technology.

Early Learning Center

The Early Learning Center invokes safety and security alongside a loving, family-like atmosphere. The building is separate from older students and resides behind a designated gate with a unique entry code.

PreK 3 and the VPK program students participate in a wide variety of age-appropriate learning centers that aid in developing their motor and social skills. This is a fantastic way to teach younger children that it’s okay to have fun while learning!

Performing Arts Center

We invite all our young artists, performers, and musicians to explore their talents at our Performing Arts Center. This environment promotes creativity in all students and allows them to explore their artistic capabilities. Our whisper walls, soundproof tiles, and flexible space options provide the perfect stage to develop a child’s band, chorus, music and/or performing arts skills.

Open Air Campus

Students enjoy the fresh air and great outdoors on our open-air campus. They can get step away from the classroom for a moment to visit to the butterfly garden or the peaceful prayer garden. We also have a one-of-a-kind playground and sports field for playing and exercise. For security, an eight-foot fence surrounds the entire property to help ensure every child’s safety while outdoors.
