SFX Academic Overview

At St. Francis Xavier Catholic School, our objective is to cultivate an ideal educational setting where students are equipped to think critically, develop their own concepts, and communicate effectively—all grounded in a Catholic environment.

We want every student to thrive within a challenging academic framework while simultaneously focusing on character development. To achieve this, we emphasize Catholic faith formation, weekly Mass, and meaningful connections between students and teachers. Our ultimate mission is to foster not just intellectual achievement, but also spiritual and personal maturity.

Middle School

Middle School

The middle school years act as a crucial stepping stone between early education and the rigors of high school. We provide a secure, supportive atmosphere where students can mature socially, spiritually, and academically. During this pivotal transition, our curriculum blends core academic disciplines with deep-rooted Biblical teachings to help adolescents build a steadfast moral compass.

Middle school math classes are ability grouped to ensure students are adequately challenged or receive the necessary interventions to maintain grade-level expectations. Top-performing math students in 8th Grade attend Bishop Verot to complete a high school-level Geometry class.

Beyond the classroom, middle schoolers are encouraged to discover their passions through robust art programs and competitive athletics. These opportunities are designed to build resilience, imagination, and cooperation, shaping well-rounded individuals who are fully prepared for the next chapter of their education.

Elementary School

In our elementary school, students are consistently motivated to exceed ordinary expectations. A commitment to excellence drives our comprehensive, college-preparatory curriculum. By pairing time-tested educational techniques with a contemporary learning environment, we inspire every student to reach their highest potential. Active parent involvement, devoted educators, regular progress reporting, and consistent homework are fundamental pillars of our academic culture.

Our Early Childhood Catholic School program begins enrollment at age 3 and provides a nurturing, faith-filled foundation for young learners. Through developmentally appropriate play, hands-on learning, music, early literacy and math activities, and Catholic faith formation, students build the skills and confidence needed for a successful transition into elementary school.

In a safe and encouraging classroom environment, our experienced educators help each child grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. We foster curiosity, independence, kindness, and a love of learning while supporting every child’s unique developmental needs.
